R. Peters Hubbell Jr.

R. Peters (Pete) Hubbell Jr. has 40 years of experience in valuing all types of income producing, investment grade properties and major developments in the Northeast, primarily concentrating in the New York City Metropolitan region. His current client list includes multi-national and Fortune 500 companies, global New York City headquartered banks, federal and state agencies, regional commercial banks, prominent New York City law firms, high net worth individuals, developers, national and regional land trusts and private clients.

With the firm’s growth in both size and scope, Mr. Hubbell who holds an AS degree in Dairy Science from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University, has concentrated on expanding the Farm and Ranch Valuation Group; including Conservation Easements, County Estate and Luxury Home valuation services. Mr. Hubbell is now recognized as one of the leading consultants on such properties based on his wealth of experience in this market niche. He and Dan Hubbell have developed the Hudson Valley Luxury Market Quarterly Newsletter, which is licensed to and prepared for Heather Croner Sotheby’s International Real Estate.

Mr. Hubbell holds the prestigious MAI designation as a Member of the Appraisal Institute, and is qualified in Federal and State courts with diversified litigation experience. He has been an Associate Instructor with the Appraisal Institute, a Small Claims Assessment Review Officer for the New York Unified Court System and taught as an adjunct professor for Real Estate Appraisal at Marist College and Dutchess Community College.

Following graduation from Cornell, Pete served as a senior loan officer for the Farm Credit System, the national agricultural lending cooperative. Prior to starting his own appraisal company in 1996 he acted as Chief Appraiser for a boutique real estate appraisal firm in New York.

Grant Ackerly

Grant Ackerly has more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry and has been exclusively involved with real estate appraisal and market analysis for the last 18 years. Over that time, he has earned both the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and CCIM Designation from the CCIM Institute. Mr. Ackerly is responsible for new business development and quality control and has been instrumental in the company’s growth

Mr. Ackerly now holds the title of President and oversees the commercial division. Although his focus is on commercial and industrial properties, he has appraised a diverse portfolio of property types from hotels to subdivisions as well as residential and special-purpose properties. He has expanded his specialties to include market analysis for the affordable housing community. He has prepared reports for New York State’s Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) and is a part of the National Council of Affordable Housing Market Analysts.

Prior to joining Ackerly & Hubbell Appraisal Corp., he worked as a senior Pension Account Manager at the Bank of New York’s retirement services group. He is on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Appraisal Institute as well as its MAI Guidance Chair.

Andrew Ward

Andrew Ward has been appraising commercial real estate for the last 10 years throughout the State of New York, extending from Manhattan to Albany. Since 2004, Andrew has been working for Ackerly & Hubbell Appraisal Corp. performing appraisal work and consulting assignments on a myriad of properties including office buildings, industrial properties, vacant land, restaurants, residential subdivisions, religious facilities, converted residences, mixed-use structures, proposed construction and various special use properties.

As the Director of Government Contracts for Ackerly & Hubbell Appraisal Corp., Mr. Ward has extensive experience in the state and local government sectors, working with the New York State Department of Transportation, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, The New York City Department of Environmental Protection and The United States Department of the Interior.

Prior to his work at Ackerly & Hubbell Appraisal Corp., Mr. Ward Engaged in real estate research and valuation on the four counties of Hawaii. Properties covered include resort, industrial, agricultural, residential, office buildings, shopping centers and various other commercial properties involving leasehold, leased fee and fee simple interests. He assisted in various valuations for litigation purposes, tax appeals and leased fee conversions.

Mr. Ward is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and is currently working toward obtaining the MAI designation.

Wanda

Behind every successful organization is a strong and efficient support system. Wanda is that support system for Ackerly & Hubbell Appraisal Corp.

After an accomplished career in a management support role for a Telecommunications and IT Support company, Wanda decided to embark on a new endeavor within the real estate industry.

Wanda brings over 14 years of management experience and extensive organization skills to Ackerly & Hubbell Appraisal Corp.  With her knowledge, Wanda has been able to bring a fresh perspective to the company which allows her to apply her many skills.
